NCPA Statement On Swearing In Of Barack Obama And Joe Biden

The following statement was issued by Holly Henry, RPh, National Community Pharmacists Association’s (NCPA) president and owner of Rxtra Care, Inc., in Seattle, WA., and Bruce T. Roberts, RPh, NCPA executive vice president and CEO:

“NCPA would like to congratulate President Barack Obama on being sworn in today as the 44th president of the United States. Congratulations also to Vice President Joe Biden. We look forward to working with the new administration and the 111th Congress on the issues vital to community pharmacy and its patients.”

The National Community Pharmacists Association, founded in 1898, represents the nation’s community pharmacists, including the owners of more than 23,000 pharmacies. The nation’s independent pharmacies, independent pharmacy franchises, and independent chains dispense nearly half of the nation’s retail prescription medicines.
